About Saints of the Old Republic

Saints of The Old Republic is a Christian Guild based in the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic online game. Our Guild will provide & focus on:

1. Honoring God
2. Structured Organization
3. A Christian & Large Family Atmosphere
4. A Friendly, Helpful Environment
5. Moral Conduct Rules
6. Perpetual Open Recruitment
7. Guild Support for & Voluntary Involvement in everything TOR has to offer including Crafting, PvP, Raiding, and Story

The pre-launch creation of this website is for the purpose of early recruitment so that we as a community can begin to get to know one another and form friendships that will carry over into the SWTOR game. Later on, this website will serve as a hub for guild information, raids, chat, recruitment, and prayer requests. Our guild will always strive to promote a friendly Christian environment and a family-centered atmosphere that's free from cussing, vulgarity, innuendos, and secularism. SOTOR will be the "Haven of Rest" & Relaxation for all born-again believers as well as a place of fun fellowship among fellow brothers and sister in Christ in the Star Wars The Old Republic universe.

If you would like to join SOTOR, you must first read the SOTOR Constitution located in our forums followed by clicking the Apply link located in the left column of our website.

I look forward to having you become a part of our Christian family.

Sincerely.

Bioware confirms Spring 2011 launch date

by Jao Thaun, 26 days ago

Bioware has confirmed a Spring 2011 launch date for The Old Republic as well as a 2010 Beta launch date which means that some folks will undoubtedly get to play this year.

Delays are very common in MMO's, and are always a good thing. If they are delaying the launch of their game it is to make the game better, to add more content (hopefully space combat), to find and remove bugs, exploits, and class imbalances, and most of all to make the game enjoyable to play for years to come which is vital to the survival of any Guild in an MMO.

During this time, we will continue to grow as a Guild although many guilds are not going to make it. Many will dissolve over the course of the next year and/or become inactive, but the Saints are here to stay. As more guilds dissolve, there will be more opportunity for recruitment as Christian players who were a part of those inactive guilds will be looking for a new home, and that home may very well be here. That being said, I want to encourage each of you to continue to check the forums here, share prayer requests, write roleplay stories, get to know one another, and stay active in the TOR community. This year will be over before you know it and we'll be that much closer to playing The Old Republic.

Thank you for being a part of our Guild and I look forward to playing with you in game come Spring 2011.
